A Small Big Project

Finally got my hand started on a uni-project upgrade.
Should have been started years before…
I started couples of project recently, e.g. renewal of Phase3Profit.net, some amendment and extra function to the existing base etc etc.
An even a game engine design….
I happens to be having trouble on focusing on the same work too long,
and need to have boost from others to proceed in a project.
Active positive partner is essential to success.
But the fact is, most people would like to join in a successful project but not a preparing one.
To achieve the critical mass is not easy, and people who are willing to take up the work are not much.
(And the gut to step forward)
Hope this project would not go into suspension again.

EvE Online

Although I decided I won’t play EvE in near future, the game design was great.
Every MMORPG I came across suffer heavily in price inflation, new player cannot catch up with old player, NPC based Economy, divided Dev force.
EvE had a relatively small team compare to WoW. And yet the whole game run on it’s own. There aren’t much stress on developer for new content, since the game content is so deep in design that, no one had the time to figure out the whole picture.
Risk, Challenges mostly are posed by other player, rather than Developer keep designing new mechanisms. What WoW fail deeply in, excelled in EvE.
It feature in human-human interaction, cooperation and trust. Although the system do not cater player as WoW, fraud and hostile action is common in EvE. Yet people trust each other in this setup.
Internet and moreover MMORPG had a bad reputation on human trust. As Anyone can drop out at anytime, there aren’t much trustworth among players. But from observing those co-operation we can see the dim on humanity.
I really enjoy my time in the New Eden, Thanks CCP

I am having a bad bad day

I am having a bad bad day, Things get busy on every Monday morning..
But in this morning, an stochastic bug crash the alpha release code.
Disabling the whole feature we had been working on for weeks.
We had been spending hours to fix the bug, and yet cannot totally get rid of it…
A fix introduce more error, and the cycle continue….
I need some fresh air to take it fixed, and to look into other thing which sprung out…

The reason I am not playing EvE again (for Now)…

I must said I love this game.
The graphic is nice, the idea is neat, The game play is awesome.
Thought they need to have a lot to iron out, e.g. UI, Font Size etc…
It’s a matter of me rather than the game myself.
I had a brain squeezing job, Day and Night I am doing calculation and design all the way.
While I love the competition of market, production and hauling (for relaxation)
I really can’t spend much brain juice on the issue.
Not to say precious planning time when my brain functional fully.
I’ll not be back to rens, until my brain can spare those bandwidth
